It's been too long!  We had a great time dancing with everyone at Swing Niagara.  We are hoping to teach WCS lessons soon in Buffalo.

Marta's schedule is a little more flexible during some months.  She only has 8 months to go, though!!  We are really excited about that.  Please ask us to dance when you see us on the dance floor.

We will keep you posted about dance lessons.  We are really excited about doing a lot more dancing once Marta's residency is over.

See you on the dance floor!

Hello Dancers,

We had a GREAT time teaching and dancing with everyone in Rochester at Antoinette's dance this Friday and Saturday!!  As usual she has great music and created a welcoming dance atmosphere.  We were happy to be there and see everyone - we totally forgot we hadn't been back to Rochester since we were married! We hope to make it into town more often as Marta's schedule allows.

Then we made our way back to Buffalo for another great WCS dance on Saturday night with Maria and Felix.  It was great to dance with our friends in Buffalo and thanks to Maria for the awesome music to dance to!

We are looking forward to offering beginner and intermediate/advanced WCS lesosns here in Buffalo.  We are working on the venue and will keep you updated.  Check the website often.

Marta is starting another 3 months of 80-100 hour work weeks so she will be joining Paul for lessons and dances when she can.

We can't wait to spend more time with our WCS friends!!

Happy New Year everyone!

Paul and I had a blast at New Year's Dancin' Eve in Boston, MA hosted by Joe Mahoney and his wife Kathy.  Check out some of the pictures.  This was Paul's first time competing in the Advanced division.  He did a great job and came in 6th in the Advanced WCS Jack and Jill!  I placed 7th in the Advanced Jack and Jill but we were so excited to compete together for the first time in Strictly WCS!  Paul and I were first alternates for the Strictly Swing in a combined division of All Stars and Advanced dancers.  We had a GREAT time!

We are planning on attending a few dances that are coming up soon because my schedule is pretty light.  Tomorrow, Jan 24th, Paul and I plan on attending Patty's dance at the VFW in Williamsville, NY.  Also, we are teaching a lesson and private lessons the weekend of February 6th and 7th in Rochester, NY before we come back to Buffalo to attend Maria and Veronica's WCS dance in Amherst, NY on Saturday February 7th.

We are trying to get out dancing as much as possible before my heavy schedule picks back up again.

See you all on the dance floor!

It has been too long.  I haven't danced in over a month...that's not right!

Paul and I can't wait to see everyone at Tango Cafe for Ben and Melina's WCS weekend.  I actually have the weekend off so we'll make the trip in for the Saturday night dance.

And yes! we are married.  I'll post some pictures on the Photo Album page.

See you soon!

Well, long time, no dance!

Sorry we've been out of the dance scene for awhile. Life keeps on going even when you're not looking! Last month was particularly brutal for both of us work-wise. But we do have a breather for a few weeks.

We will see everyone at the Jordan and Tatiana weekend. We'll be there for Saturday's dance.

Hope all is well with everyone and you are enjoying the summertime!

Good evening,

Paul and I are happy to report that Paul took 2nd place in the Intermediate JnJ at Boston Tea Party this past weekend!  He is now in the Advanced Division in WCS Competitions.

We are planning on coming into Syracuse tomorrow night for the Friday night dance with Robert and Deborah! As long as the weather cooperates we should be there.

We are looking forward to our Intermediate WCS lessons starting Tuesday April 29th, 2008 @ 7pm at Casey Middle School.

I hope everyone is enjoying the warmer days and sunshine!

Hi there,

Paul and I are in North Dakota enjoying some well deserved vacation time with Marta's family.  It's actually not as cold out here as you'd think. (Except when the wind gets whipping!)

Paul is looking forward to the Boston Tea Party.  Marta is unable to attend this year, however, we are planning on both being at this Thursday's SSDS dance! We can't wait to dance with all of our friends in Syracuse.  Save us some dances...we'll see you then!

We are excited about our Workshops and Antoinette's Dance in Rochester this coming weekend!  And we are especially happy because Marta is on vacation!

Both Paul and Marta have been sick with the flu and bronchitis! (That's what I get for working at Buffalo General during the flu season.)

It's been so long since we've been able to come out dancing with everyone.  We are really happy we have the opportunity to teach and dance with you all  again.

See you all soon!

Hello Dancin' Folks,

We are excited about our classes and really looking forward to our Rochester, NY workshops before Antoinette's WCS Dance on March 15th, 2008. Don't forget that we have openings for private lessons on Saturday and Sunday of that weekend.

Marta finally has some vacation time and will try to be out dancing as much as possible in the month of March.

We are also going to be dancing in Rochester this coming weekend at Antoinette's longstanding and successful Friday WCS Dances. Come hear some great DJing and experience some great dancing with a friendly Rochester dance community!

See you all soon!

We are so happy with our Beyond Basics class! Everyone is doing so well and learning how to truly dance WCS smoothly and with good technique. We are very proud.

I am in a tough rotation this month, with a lot of call days so I can't make it to a lot of dances. BUT next month, I have vacation! Paul and I are looking forward to our Rochester WCS Workshops - musicality and a hip move are on our agenda. We like to add a lot of technique and tips and tricks into our lessons besides just moves.

Please contact us if you'd like a private lesson in Rochester, NY on March 15th or 16th (the weekend of our workshops and Antoinette's Dance). Or contact us if you think you'd like to have a private lesson during the month of March. Our schedules will be more flexible.

We are also tossing around the idea of a one-time class of WCS Technique that we could hold because of the feedback from our students. It would be for all levels (you'd need to know the basics of WCS) and there would be a lot of drills and discussion - a notebook worthy class, for example.  We'd like to hold it sometime in the near future. We'll let you know.

Hope to see you on the dance floor!

-Marta

We are very excited about continuing with our lessons in Buffalo.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! And to all Canadians, have belated Thanksgiving! Paul and I wish you a happy, healthy, and SAFE Holiday.

See you on the dance floor in December!

-Marta and Paul

PS  We are setting up classes through the Williamsville Community Education Program again for the Winter and Spring semesters - contact us if you have questions/concerns/suggestions.

11.12.07

Happy Autumn!

It was good to be out dancing in Buffalo over the weekend. Sorry I was so tired - the dances start way past my bedtime these days!

Paul and I are going to be holding Winter and Spring sessions at Casey Middle School through the Williamsville Community Education programs for Beyond Basic and Intermediate WCS classes. Please watch the website for more info as we get it. And of course, we are looking forward to our WCS workshops in Rochester on March 15th, 2007. Please come celebrate St. Patty's Day with us and Antoinette.

Also, this coming weekend (as long as my schedule at work cooperates) we are planning on making our way to Toronto for the DIVA Dance Productions WCS Dance November 17th. We hope to bring some of our students along, too.  We can't wait to dance with our Canadian friends!

We hope everyone is getting into the holiday spirit no matter what holidays you celebrate and we wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season.

10.8.07

Hello,

Long time no see!  Things are as busy as ever in Buffalo.  Paul and Marta are having fun teaching Beginner WCS and bringing new people into the dance community.  They also enjoyed Swing Niagara and we're very proud of Paul's 2 1st place wins. He thanks everyone who called or wished him congratulations. He is also proud of his students who competed - some of the first time in their division.

We are looking forward to our Beyond Basics and Intermediate WCS Lessons. We will post times and locations as soon as we know. We can't wait to see you all at dances. In the next 4 weeks, Marta has more free time and is planning on making more of the dances (hopefully!).

Marta's been working 12 hour days and is looking forward to dancing with everyone again. Paul's job is going very well and keeps him busy, too. We're looking forward to Swingin' New England in November.

Well folks!

It's been awhile since we wrote to you all.  We have been very busy - Paul's job is keeping him busy and challenging him, which makes him happy and Marta's residency has started in full force and she is doing well.

We are planning on going to Pat and Stan's WCS Dance and to see Crystal Blue play this weekend.  (See where are we? page)  Paul is starting beginner WCS lessons this September with Williamsville Community Education.  These classes will be geared toward those with NO to LITTLE dance experience, however, we also encourage ALL dancers to come review their basics.  We review our basics regularly, plus Paul takes lessons regularly with Robert Royston and he will be sharing important pieces of information with the students which will help take your dancing to the next level.  Remember, WCS isn't about moves, it's about how well you lead and follow and connect with each other - then the moves happen to the music!  We're also planning on offering Musicality classes in the near future - so please check back for more info.

We are so excited for the Fall to begin and along with it a renewal in the interest in the dance community.  Marta will try to be at as many dances and lessons as her schedule allows.

Looking forward to seeing you all on the dance floor.

-Marta and Paul

Hello!

We are back from Liberty Swing and had a GREAT time! Paul took 7th place in Intermediate Jack n Jill and Marta took 9th in Advanced Jack n Jill. There were a lot of competitors this year. And, as always, it was a fabulous event! Paul is planning to go to Swing Fling and Summer Hummer in August this year. We are both planning on being at the Saturday night dance in Rochester for Kyle and Sarah's workshop this weekend.

Hope to see you there!

-Marta

Hello everyone,

It's been awhile since we were able to update our website. I graduated from medical school. Paul and I moved into our beautiful new apartment (that's only 2 miles from the hospital where I'll be on-call for the next three years). We've had 2 weddings to attend in the last 2 weeks and our close friends had a brand new baby girl! I'm gearing up for the beginning of my residency and for Liberty Swing!

Paul and I are attending Liberty Swing this year. I am very excited because the last time I was there was the year it debuted. John Lindo knows how to throw an elegant, classy, fun event. We can't wait.

Paul and I will be starting classes here in Buffalo soon. Please check back often to find out the official start date and location.

We're also planning on being at Bally Bay next Thursday to kick off the preparation for Liberty Swing and to see all of our friends again.

Hopefully we'll see you on the dance floor soon!

Good morning,

Paul and I are planning to head to Syracuse tonight to dance at BallyBay with everyone.  We're also excited to be dancing to Maria's good WCS tunes.  We are teaching the third installment of the Fabious-Pompey high school students' WCS lessons as well as WCS private lessons this Saturday in Syracuse.

See you on the dance floor!

Hello Dance Community,

Paul and I are excited about the Fabius-Pompey students making the front page of The Post-Standard on Tuesday, April 10th, 2007. There is also a blog at syracuse.com about west coast swing dancing with a clip of Jordan and Tatiana from YouTube.com. Check it out. We are so proud of these students. They have learned so much in just 2 weeks!

Next weekend will be the 3rd class in the 4 week session. They are getting ready for their Prom in May.

Peace, Marta

Paul's finally in Buffalo! We're looking forward to dancing this Friday at Antoinette's dance in Rochester. (Especially since I didn't get to go to The Boston Tea Party!!)

We hope to see you there.

-Marta

PS Check out our Where Are We? page for the events - local, regional, and national - that we're planning to attend in the near future. Also, find out when and where we'll be available for private lessons.
